After creating a new blog post, you will need to copy and paste the below information into the new post (this will be done for EACH Major Writing Assignment). You should keep the bold and replace the parentheses with the information being requested (be sure not to keep the literal parenthesis).
UNIT TITLE and GENRE: (i.e. IDENTITY – Narrative)
TITLE OF THE PIECE and TEASER/TRAILER: (Put the title of your piece here and then attach the file to the title itself – Add a sentence or blurb/teaser about the piece)
GOAL AND REFLECTION: (Revisit your goal for this unit. Did you meet it? If yes or no, explain how or why?--If you completed your reflection properly, this can be copied and pasted directly from your reflection.)
*DO NOT COPY AND PASTE THE PART BELOW—It is an example of a finished product!
UNIT TITLE and GENRE: IDENTITY – Narrative
TITLE OF THE PIECE: Sapphiria and the Headdress: What happens when you are betrayed by your sister?
GOAL AND REFLECTION: My goal for this unit was to balance my dialogue. Last year, I used all dialogue and barely any narration. I realize now how bad my story actually was in 7th grade. There was nothing to really follow. The dialogue nonstop was boring and didn’t enhance the plot at all. I really think I achieved this goal because I took out a lot of dialogue and narrated a lot. I went through and highlighted all my dialogue and then took out or narrated the sections that weren’t super important to the plot. Though it was a lot of work, it definitely made the piece better. If we do another narrative piece, I will use the highlighting tactic again.
